BumbleBee ‘76 Camaro

May22

Hi guys,

I wanted to thank the people who come here that posted some very kind comments on my 2009 Camaro. I’m really pleased you like it. I also posted that I was working on another Camaro BumbleBee, the ‘76 “Beater Bee” Camaro.

tex17.jpgI thought it only right that I let you guys see it. :D It’s not quite finished yet but I’m close. I’m very near the end now with some minor texturing and then unfolding to do. It has detailed interior like many of Claudio’s models and the 2009 Camaro. Many of the weathered textures for the exterior come direct from screen captures of the movie too!

So what better place to show it off then here at Paperinside.com?! Claudio’s given my 2009 Camaro a great home here, thanks Claudio! So soon the 2009 will have another companion here too!

Designers wanted!

One of the cakesWillie Goldman, co-executive producer of the tv show “Ace of Cakes” on the Food Network, is currently writing a book based on their show, and their plan is to pack it with lots of fun visual bonus content.

So many of their viewers are creative individuals (and a lot of kids), and they think some sort of papercraft content would be a blast.

They’re looking around to see if anyone could help them create some papercraft versions of some of the cakes featured on their show, or seen on their bakery’s website.

I’ve joined the project!

Paper model workshop

Mar26

I was invited to plan and coordinate a paper model workshop. Ten members from a local church attended this workshop. The purpose is these ten will work among careless children using our hobby techniques.

I choose two dinosaurs from Canon Papercraft website.

Divided into two groups of five people each, we started our work.

Here, you can see me teaching them how to fold Model parts and tools on the table

First, I gave them a bit of paper model history. Then the learned how to score folding lines and how to cut and paste properly.

As we worked for three hours only, I didn’t expect them to finish their models. However, I think they did a great job. Remember, they are all beginners.

They promised me they’ll finish their models and send me pictures.
