X-Jet

Nov13

Andrew Skupinsky (Skip) and I started a team work at the X-Men bird, the X-Jet.

Skip asked me to design the 3d mesh and unfolding. He provided me all reference material I needed and he did an awesome job texturing my mesh.

You can follow our X-Jet WIP at and see some pics in the X-Jet page.

New Models from Clever Santoro

Apr9

3.jpgI post two new models. One that is part of the Brazilian Aircraft project , the Neiva T-25 a trainer of the AFA (Academy of the Air Force) which is being substituted, more than 30 years training the pilots of the Air Force.

And the 500 Hugues MD helicopter – Military version – the very famous and known AH6.

They are simple models but I guarantee that modelists will have excellent models for assembly.

14-Bis first flight 100th Anniversary

Oct23

14bis.jpgIn 1903, the Wright brothers, Orville (1871-1948) and Wilbur (1867-1912) announced, by telegram, that they flew with the Flyer, starting from a field with an inclination of about nine degrees, and wind around 40 km/h (24.9 mph). In the following two years, they announced that they were making turns and long flights in closed circuits, but their machine depended on wind conditions or the use of catapult to take off.

The world’s first airplane to perform a complete flight, including take-off, the flight itself, and landing – was Santos-Dumont’s 14-Bis.

On October, 23rd 1906, the 14-Bis takes off and flies 60 m (196.8 ft) at an altitude of 3 m (9.8 ft). Santos-Dumont wins the Archdeacon Cup.
