Since 1996, Brazilian people vote for their candidates using electronic voting machines. Simple and robust, the equipment was specially designed to Brazilian elections by TSE – Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (www.tse.gov.br) – the government agency responsible for election in Brazil.
After typing the candidate numbers using a special keyboard, voters can check their choice on screen, where candidate photographs and other information are shown. Even illiterate people can vote with confidence.
The most impressive is that official results are available just few hours after the election finish.
You can download and build your own Electronic Voting Machine from RecorteCole website.
