Ed’s Curtiss OX-5 engine
Ed has built this fantastic Curtiss OX-5 engine.
This is a 90 horsepower watercooled V-8 aircraft engine circa 1918. It has a single Berling mangneto and a Zenith carb. This is the engine which powered the Curtiss Jenny, among many other aircraft. Thousands upon thousands were built.
He reduced the OX5 engine down to 1/8th scale and has finished the alpha build. Now he’s working on refining the design and making instructions.
